Ashwin Kumar Uppala has worked in the Community & Program Management space for over 3 years. Ashwin was previously a Program Manager at GitHub, an MLH Coach and MLH TOP 50 candidate, a GitHub Campus Expert and Twilio Searchlight Honoree. He has built and managed the global student programs at GitHub Education known as GitHub Octernships, GitHub Campus Experts and the GitHub Field Experts Program. Ashwin's love for open source and developer community leads him advocating Developer Education, you may find him speaking at Open Source Summit, KubeCon, MLH Hackcon and more developer conferences, events and programs.
Aditya Oberai is a Developer Advocate at Appwrite and an avid tech community and hackathon enthusiast. Having worked with various technologies such as .NET, SvelteKit, Microsoft Azure, etc., he has spent the last 5 years empowering student and tech communities and is currently active as a Microsoft MVP. Aditya was named among Major League Hacking's Top 50 hackers of 2021 and has recently been awarded "Best Developer Relations Professional of the Year" at the CMX Community Industry Awards 2024.

It is a participant-oriented meeting where the attendees choose a topic or an agenda and discuss the particular agenda. There is an exchange of ideas and opinions. At the Field Day, most of the events will be talks and discussions conducted by the attendees.
We welcome student leaders and members of tech communities across India. Most of the attendees will be undergrad students.
This Field Day is specifically for India, but keep an eye on githubfieldday.com for a Field Day in your region!
Field Day is free to attend!
Knowing about GitHub is always recommended. However, this event is not a technical conference. It's about communities, students and networking. We don't ask for your CV!
You will receive an application update soon after the registration deadline. If you are shortlisted, you will receive an email with all the details about the venue, accomodation and travel options.
